  11. Moxie's Cool Stuff is a collection of three ProTERM Mac-related items authored by myself, "Moxie".  Included in this set of Cool Stuff is my Finger macro, my terminal font, and some little graphics.

  13. ** What do I do with it? **

Well, if you're in to customizing ProTERM Mac, you can use my Finger macro as an example macro to help you get started with ProTERM Mac.  Or, if you are curious about how to add your own fonts to ProTERM Mac the hard way, through an add-on file, you can play around with the Terminal Font.  And if you like ProTERM Mac so much that you think everyone else should be using it, by all means, go and put a ProTERM NOW! graphic on your web page!  Of course, regular, non-hacking users can use Finger and the Terminal Font as well...

  19. * Finger *
  20. To use Finger, you can double-click it from the Finder; or select the Exec... command from the File menu (or press COMMAND-E) when in ProTERM Mac, and then locate the Finger file and hit Open.  You will be presented with a window.  If you are not hooked in to the internet, the window will not do you much good.  But if you are, you can enter an address, hit the OK button, and finger the person.  (Don't go thinking I am sick for writing that - it acutally means something - read the Finger Documentation file for more on Finger).

  22. * Moxie Terminal *
  23. To use my terminal font, you can drag the file "PT Terminal Font xxxx" into the PT Resources folder and restart ProTERM.  The add-on file won't do much good unless you tell ProTERM Mac to use it - select the Preferences... item from the Tools menu, and click the Emulate tab at the top of the window.  Set the Base Font to ProTERM Terminal.  Then click OK.  From that moment on, all terminal windows will use my terminal font rather than the default, Monaco.  The terminal font contains 9, 10, 12, and 14-point bitmaps...good enough for most applications.  I like to use it at 14 point, but your mileage may vary (especially if you have a small screen).  You can also install the "Moxie Terminal" suitcase in to your system - this will make the "Moxie Terminal" font visible to all applications, not just ProTERM Mac.

  25. * ProTERM NOW! *
  26. To use my graphics on your web page (if you have a web page), you will need to upload the graphic which you like the best to wherever your web page stuff is.  The instructions for this vary from Internet provider to Internet provider, so if you need help with it, ask them, not me.  Four graphics are included with the set, each is an 88x32 GIF image sporting the ProTERM Mac icon and the text "ProTERM NOW!"

  31. To see the animation, you must use a web browser like Netscape Navigator that supports animated GIFs.  Don't give me all the credit for animation, Derek Cline (derek@dc-design.com) came up with that idea.

  33. When you display the graphic, it should appear as a link to InTrec's home page, http://www.intrec.com/ - and it should have some text like "The ProTERM logo used by permission from InTrec Software".  An example would be:
